Treatment of lead acetate
Lead acetate, which is toxic in nature, should be handled with caution. This Chen number method is also used to avoid harm.
First, the method of chemical precipitation. In the lead acetate solution, add an appropriate precipitant, such as sodium sulfide. When sulfur ions and lead ions meet, lead sulfide will precipitate. The solution is: $Pb (CH_3COO) _2 + Na_2S\ longrightarrow PbS? + 2CH_3COONa $. After the precipitation is completed, separate the precipitation and clear liquid by filtration. The precipitation is properly collected and stored, and can be used for other purposes or disposed of according to regulations.
Second, the method of ion exchange. Make the lead-containing acetate liquid flow through the ion exchange resin. The resin has exchangeable ions and can be transposed with lead ions. In this way, lead ions remain in the resin, while the concentration of lead ions in the solution decreases. The toxicity of the ion-exchanged liquid is greatly reduced and can be discharged according to regulations. After the resin absorbs lead ions and saturates, it is eluted in a specific solution to regenerate the resin and can be reused for ion exchange.
Third, biological treatment method. There are certain microorganisms that can enrich lead ions. Place the lead-containing acetate liquid in an environment containing such microorganisms. Microorganisms ingest lead ions and accumulate them in the body, so that the amount of lead ions in the solution is small. However, after biological treatment, lead-containing microorganisms need to be properly disposed of to prevent the secondary release of lead and cause environmental pollution.
All these laws should be followed in accordance with environmental regulations to ensure environmental and personal safety. During the disposal process, the operator should prepare protective equipment to prevent lead acetate from contacting the body and causing damage to health.
