Method of making nickel acetate
To make nickel acetate, first take an appropriate amount of nickel powder and place it in a clean container. Add acetic acid slowly, and stir while dripping, so that the two can fully react. This process needs to pay attention to the reaction rate, so as not to overreact.
When the reaction is smooth, it can be heated moderately according to the situation to promote the completion of the reaction. However, the heating temperature should not be too high, so as not to affect the quality of the product.
After the reaction is completed, the resulting solution is filtered to remove unreacted impurities. The filtrate is evaporated and concentrated until a crystalline membrane appears. Then the heat source is removed and allowed to cool and crystallize naturally.
After the crystallization is complete, separate the crystals from the mother liquor by filtration, and then wash the crystals with an appropriate amount of ethanol to remove residual impurities on the surface. Finally, place the crystals in a dry place to dry to obtain the finished nickel acetate. When operating, be sure to follow the specifications and pay attention to safety to prevent accidents.
