How to make lead acetate test paper
To make lead acetate test paper, prepare all kinds of things first. A certain amount of lead acetate is required, and an appropriate amount of water is required. Filter paper is also indispensable.
Take a clean device first, pour an appropriate amount of water into it, and then slowly pour the lead acetate into the water. At the same time, stir it lightly with a glass rod to make the lead acetate fully dissolve into the water to form a lead acetate solution. The speed of dissolution, or depending on the amount of lead acetate and the water temperature, is to ensure that it is completely soluble and no particles remain.
Take the filter paper for the second time, its quality should be fine and uniform to ensure the effect of the test paper. Cut the filter paper to an appropriate size, with suitable length and width for subsequent use. Then immerse the cut filter paper in the prepared lead acetate solution, so that the whole body of the filter paper is stained with the solution. The soaking time, about a moment, allows the filter paper to fully absorb the liquid.
After soaking, carefully remove the filter paper, hang it in a ventilated and filth-free place, and let it air dry naturally. The speed of the wind and the dryness of the air are all related to the time of air drying. When the filter paper is completely dry, the lead acetate test paper is ready.
This test paper is quite effective when detecting sulfur and other substances. Be careful when using it to prevent it from being stained and losing its effectiveness.
