How To Dry Ethyl Acetate
The method of dry ethyl acetate
Where you want to dry ethyl acetate, there are various methods. First of all, you must first check the impurities it contains. If there is more water, you can use anhydrous sodium sulfate to treat it preliminarily. Take an appropriate amount of anhydrous sodium sulfate and place it in a container containing ethyl acetate, shake it slightly, and sit for a while. Anhydrous sodium sulfate can absorb water and combine it with it, while ethyl acetate is relatively clear.

However, this is only a preliminary method. If you want to get more pure, you can continue to use distillation. Prepare a distillation vessel, pour the ethyl acetate treated with anhydrous sodium sulfate into a distillation bottle. Place the bottle on a suitable heat source and gradually heat up. When the temperature reaches the boiling point of ethyl acetate, it vaporizes into steam, which is cooled by the condenser pipe, and then becomes a liquid, which flows into the receiving device. In this way, impurities with large differences in boiling points can be removed, making ethyl acetate more pure.

Or molecular sieves can be used. Molecular sieves have the ability to selectively adsorb, especially good for water adsorption. Ethyl acetate and molecular sieves are co-placed in a closed device. Over time, water is absorbed by the molecular sieve, and ethyl acetate dries. This method can be selected according to the actual situation to achieve the purpose of dry ethyl acetate.
