Ethyl Acetate Distillation
Ethyl acetate distillation
Today, there is the distillation of ethyl acetate, which is related to the practice of chemical industry. Ethyl acetate is volatile, and its distillation method needs to be carefully followed.

First, prepare all kinds of utensils, distillation kettle, condenser pipe, receiver, etc., must be clean and intact. Slowly pour the material containing ethyl acetate into the distillation kettle, check its liquid level, and stop.

Then, adjust the heat. Initially heat up with a low fire to make the material gradually heat up and prevent it from boiling. When the temperature of the material in the kettle approaches the boiling point of ethyl acetate, steam surges, and enters the condenser along the duct.

Outside the condenser pipe, cold water is injected around, so that the steam coagulates when it is cooled, melts the droplets, and flows into the receiver. During this process, strictly monitor the temperature change, keep the boiling point of ethyl acetate, and keep the distillation stable.

And look at the distillation rate, don't be slow. If the rate is too fast, or impurities are mixed in; if it is too slow, it will be time-consuming and laborious.

Until the material is exhausted and the amount of residual liquid in the kettle is small, stop steaming. Take the ethyl acetate fraction obtained in the receiver and store it properly.

The distillation of ethyl acetate is essential in the refinement of the equipment, the accuracy of the heat, and the diligence of monitoring, so that pure ethyl acetate can be obtained and used in various chemical processes.
