The difference between cellulose and cellulose acetate
There are two kinds now, called cellulose and cellulose acetate, and their properties and uses can be investigated.
Cellulose is the quality of nature. It exists between all kinds of plants and trees, and is the foundation of plants. Its quality is tough, it has good mechanical properties, and it can absorb moisture. This is very important for papermaking. Paper takes cellulose as the main material, and it can be made into a tough and usable state. In the textile industry, cotton fabrics are comfortable and breathable, because cotton contains more cellulose. It can make the fabric skin-friendly and suitable for body.
And cellulose acetate is artificially made. Based on cellulose, by chemical method, add acetate. Its properties are different from cellulose. In appearance, it is often shiny, like a pearl. And non-flammable, which is different from cellulose. In textile, the fabric is drape, smooth to the touch, as light as silk. It is also used in the field of plastics, and can be used to make eyeglass frames and other materials, because of its light weight and good shape.
Compared with the two, cellulose is derived from nature, simple and authentic, and is mostly used for common materials in daily life. Cellulose acetate has been artificially modified and has unique properties. It has its own strengths in high-end textiles and fine plastic products. Each has its own strengths and is suitable for different environments. It is used by the world and adds convenience.
