Carbon cycle source and sink

Between heaven and earth, the cycle of carbon is related to the life of all things. The source of carbon cycle is the source of carbon released into the atmosphere. Forest fires are ignited, raging flames burn away grass and trees, and carbon rises in the air with fireworks; fossil fuels, buried deep in the ground over time, are once mined and burned, and carbon also surges out, such as the heat of coal, the rush of oil, and the rise of gas.

The carbon cycle sink is the place where carbon is absorbed. The vast forest is shaded by green trees, and the stomata between leaves are opened and combined. With the power of photosynthesis, carbon in the air is fixed in the body, forming the bones and bones of the forest; the ocean is vast, and plankton are active in it, absorbing carbon, precipitating the seabed, and turning it into a quiet treasure in the deep sea. Wetlands are also carbon sinks, unique ecosystems, which contain abundant fertility and retain carbon in the root system of the mud.

However, the world changes, and the actions of the human world may disturb the balance of the carbon cycle. Industrial prosperity, the surge of carbon sources far exceeds the ability of carbon sinks to absorb. Forests are deforested, and carbon absorption is sharply reduced; marine pollution, biological damage, and carbon sequestration is also weak.

In order to ensure a smooth carbon cycle, we should control heavy carbon sources, save fossil fuel consumption, and generate clean energy, such as the brilliance of the sun, the agility of the wind, and the rush of water. We also need to protect the existence of carbon sinks, cultivate forests and afforestation, and maintain the ecological health of wetlands. In this way, we can make the carbon cycle harmonious, the world is peaceful, and all things are safe.
