"On Carbon Sources and Carbon Sinks"

Between heaven and earth, the transportation and transformation of gas is related to the survival of all things. Among them, the circulation of carbon, in the balance of ecology, is a great power. The source of carbon is where carbon dioxide is released. The burning of mountains and forests, the desolation of fields, and the prosperity of mining and metallurgy are all their sources. And the carbon sink can capture carbon dioxide and make it return. The wetlands are also a place of carbon sinks, algae and reeds, assimilate carbon gas, and hide it in the mud. The ocean is vast, and plankton, which ingest carbon, sink in the seabed, and accumulate years of contribution.

However, in today's world, carbon sources are increasing day by day, and carbon sinks are gradually lost. Deforestation and reclamation destroy the natural carbon pool; industrial expansion promotes the rise of carbon gas. As a result, in the atmosphere, carbon dioxide accumulates, the greenhouse effect is gradually apparent, the climate is abnormal, glaciers melt, floods and droughts continue, and life is charred.

To restore the balance of ecology, we must pay attention to carbon sources and carbon sinks. Energy-saving source consumption, advocating clean energy to reduce carbon sources; protecting forests and grass, widening wetlands, and increasing the amount of carbon sinks. Make the flow of carbon orderly, the harmony of heaven and earth, all things can live and multiply, and future generations can also enjoy the luster of nature.
